Gordon Rose

Following a workplace accident in 1991 and a 7 year recovery period Gordon Rose (Director) decided to train to become a health and safety practitioner, after achieving a NEBOSH Diploma and NVQ Level 4 as well as Cert Ed and Fdn Degree teaching qualifications Gordon applied to IOSH the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health to become a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner. Gordon Set up Rose Health and Safety Training Ltd in 2003 with his wife Adele to assist businesses with they're training and consultancy requirements, the business has grown from strength to strength and has a wide customer base from the local corner shop, charities to blue chip companies, his focus is to ensure that clients are compliant with health and safety and the workplace is a safe environment for everyone. Gordon has always demonstrated a passionate, common sense approach to assisting businesses with their health and safety requirements and compliance with health and safety law be it within a consultancy role or a teaching capacity. The Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR) has been set up in response to recommendations in the Government-commissioned report on the UK health and safety system − Common Sense Common Safety. It aims to increase employers’ confidence in accessing good quality, proportionate advice and also to address concerns that some employers — especially SMEs – can find it difficult to know how and where to get external health and safety advice. OSHCR has been established by a number of professional bodies representing general safety and occupational health consultants across the UK, with support from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
